Veterinarian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal anatomy and physiology, along with hands-on experience in pet care and animal handling. This role involves diagnosing and treating various animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing preventive care to ensure the well-being of our patients. The Veterinarian will work closely with pet owners to educate them about their animal's health needs and promote responsible pet ownership.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
• Diagnose illnesses and injuries, developing appropriate treatment plans.
• Perform surgical procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
• Provide guidance on animal husbandry, nutrition, and general care.
• Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
• Educate pet owners on proper pet care practices, including grooming and training.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid veterinary license to practice in the state.
• Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices.
• Experience in dog handling, equine care, and general animal restraint techniques is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $85,400.00 - $93,483.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
