Job Description
The Director of Special Services is a key member of the East Greenwich Township Board of Education team, responsible for leading and overseeing the organization, implementation, and evaluation of special education programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive plans to ensure students meet and exceed New Jersey Student Learning Standards
- Supervise Child Study Team members and special education instructional aides
- Collaborate with administrators and supervisors to coordinate pupil personnel services
- Evaluate and improve special education programs and services
- Represent the board in mediation, administrative hearings, and court proceedings
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by law and regulation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience in special education and leadership roles
