Electrical Systems Designer

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Electrical Designer to join our team. This role will work in collaboration with Systems Designers and Engineers to develop electrical system designs for various building projects. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for ensuring that drawings follow company standards, are neatly organized, and clearly communicate design intent. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about electrical design within the MEP industry.
As an Electrical Systems Designer you will:*
- Convert 'red-lined' marked-up drawings provided ty the Systems Designer or Engineer into Computer Drafted AutoCAD or Revit Drawings.
- Analyze hand sketches, layouts, designer or engineer’s notes and other input material to determine best approach for completing drawings.
- Perform load calculations, voltage drop calculations, and short-circuit analysis under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Develop electrical one-line diagrams, panel schedules and lighting layouts.
- Create, modify, and detail drawings using company, client, and industry standards.
- Participate in site visits and field investigations to support design efforts.
