As an Awake Overnight Counselor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and well-being of clients in our chemical dependency community residence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing overnight awake supervision to ensure the safety and security of clients.
- Monitoring and assisting clients with medication management, adhering to East House medication policies and procedures.
- Accurate documentation and maintenance of medication records.
- Conducting audits of medication logs as directed by your immediate supervisor.
- Regularly monitoring the environment to ensure security and safety, addressing any issues following unit procedures.
- Responding promptly to crises and emergencies in line with East House policies and procedures.
- Performing light housekeeping, cooking, and stocking of the kitchen as needed.
- Providing clerical support, such as making copies and setting up files or folders, as directed.
- Preparing and maintaining household supply inventory as instructed.
- Completing routine facility maintenance tasks, including exterior maintenance such as clearing pathways.
- Maintaining documentation in compliance with regulators, funders, and East House policies and procedures.
- Conducting chart audits as directed by your supervisor.

Requirements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work overnight shifts (Friday and Saturday, 11:15 PM to 7:15 AM).
- Familiarity with the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) regulations is a plus.
