Recycling Technician - Day Shifts Monday - Friday
East Jordan Plastics, Inc. is looking for dedicated, hardworking people to join our team! Our company is constantly growing, and we have opportunities for you to grow with us. We are currently hiring for Recycling Technicians. This position involves the safe operations of machines, inspection and sorting of plastic horticultural containers and other plastics to help us in our closed-loop systems of keeping plastics out of the landfills. Responsibilities:
- Inspect and sort materials by plastic type.
- Remove contaminants (cardboard, metal, film) from sorting line.
- Load material onto conveyor belt.
- Monitor line for quality of material.
- Break down boxes and crates.
- Run Baler machine.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, twist, climb, stand and lift items of up to 50lb
- Forklift experience helpful but not required
- Teamwork is a key value to the organization and working collaboratively with others is a must
- Able to work in areas of dust, dirt, and water
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
