Job Summary : East Lake Academy, a private Catholic school dedicated to academic excellence and spiritual growth, is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and passionate 5th Grade Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and supportive learning environment while aligning with the mission and vision of the school. This individual will be committed to fostering students’ academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development. The 5th Grade Teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, delivering creative and thoughtful instruction, maintaining effective communication with parents, and advocating for each student’s success.

Lesson Planning & Instruction :
Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate, and standards-aligned lesson plans that promote student growth in all subject areasProvide creative and interactive learning experiences that foster critical thinking and curiosityDifferentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure inclusive learning environmentsStudent Advocacy :
Serve as a strong advocate for each student, ensuring their academic, emotional, and social needs are metIdentify and address individual student needs, collaborating with parents and colleagues as necessaryFoster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and Christian valuesParent Communication :
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and any concernsEnsure open and effective communication with familiesRespond promptly and professionally to parent inquiries and feedbackGrade Book & Assessments :
Keep an up-to-date grade book, recording assessments, assignments, and student progress in a timely and accurate mannerEvaluate student work, provide constructive feedback, and use assessment data to inform instructionClassroom Management :
Create a positive, structured, and safe classroom environment where students can thrive academically and personallyEstablish and maintain clear expectations for student behavior and academic performanceFoster a classroom culture that aligns with the Catholic values of respect, kindness, and communityCollaboration & Teamwork :
Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance student learning and share best practicesParticipate in school committees and events that support the mission of the school and promote school-wide activitiesContribute to the planning and execution of school events, religious activities, and community outreach initiativesProfessional Development :
Stay current with educational trends, teaching strategies, and curriculum updatesAttend professional development workshops and conferences to continually enhance teaching skillsQualifications :
