Job Title : Elementary and Middle School Art Teacher

Position Overview :
East Lake Academy, a private Catholic school dedicated to fostering academic, character and spiritual growth, is seeking a dynamic, creative, and organized Art Teacher to join our team. The purpose of Art instruction at East Lake Academy is to impart a love of beauty, which works in harmony with instruction in the true and the good to form Catholic leaders. This position involves teaching art to students in both elementary and middle school grades. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for integrating Catholic principles into the visual arts, fostering an appreciation for art history, and encouraging innovative and creative expression. This individual must also be a team player, capable of collaborating with colleagues, adapting lessons to the needs of the students, and maintaining a structured and organized classroom environment.

- Align with School Mission & Vision :
Foster an environment that is aligned with the Catholic teachings, values, and the mission of the school
Develop and implement creative, engaging, and innovative art lessons that align with Catholic teachings and foster artistic expression in students
Create opportunities for students to explore how art and creativity support and reflect Catholic teachings, focusing on themes such as faith, beauty, charity, and the glory of God
Teach art history in a way that highlights Catholic heritage, including the role of art in the Church, from the Middle Ages to contemporary times
Maintain an organized, clean, and well-structured art classroom environment that supports creative work while ensuring safety and order
Encourage and support each student's creative potential, providing an environment where all students feel encouraged to explore and develop their artistic talents
Work closely with other teachers and staff to integrate art across the curriculum, collaborating on cross-curricular projects that enrich students' learning experiences
Provide regular, constructive feedback on student work, helping students understand their progress and areas for improvement
Be adaptable in teaching methods, adjusting lesson plans and classroom management strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles
Stay current in art education and pedagogy, while staying in alignment with Catholic teachings
