Key Responsibilities:
- Foster an environment that is aligned with the Catholic teachings, values, and the mission of the school.
- Encourage spiritual growth and respect for all students, reflecting Catholic values in all aspects of teaching and interactions.
- Act as a role model of professionalism in a Catholic environment.
- Support the philosophy, policies, and goals of the school, and administration.
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that nurture the spiritual, social, emotional, and academic growth of each child.
- Incorporate Catholic values, traditions, and teachings into the daily classroom routine.
- Foster a warm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that reflects the love of Christ.
- Develop engaging, creative, and hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and joy in learning.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff as a committed team player, contributing to a positive school culture.
- Maintain open, kind, and professional communication with families, supporting their role as the primary educators of their children.
- Observe and assess student development and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Uphold and model the mission and values of Catholic education in word and deed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (required).
- Valid teaching certification (preferred).
- Practicing Catholic with a deep understanding of and commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. A heart for children, a joyful spirit, and a strong work ethic.
