What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment Management Specialists position at East Mississippi Community College?
Assist incoming students with general questions regarding Admissions and Financial Aid paperwork, policies and procedures1. Answer incoming calls and assist student with inquiries
2. Process incoming mail
3. Serve walk-in students regarding Financial Aid processes
4. Provide loan counseling to students and process for obtaining a federal loan
5. Scan and link documents into the College system
6. Assist with awarding Financial Aid or admitting students to the college
7. Specialized duties as follows (not all apply for each specialist):
a. Oversees the Federal Work-Study Program.
b. Accept and respond to incoming applications and supporting documentation.
c. Assist with state audit preparation.
d. Awards EMCC Scholarships according to school policies. works with high school counselors regarding award days. maintains spreadsheet for recruiters for high school awards programs. e. Visits high schools to hold FAFSA Days when needed.
f. Awards federal Direct and PPLUS loans in conjunction with all federal rules/regulations. Counsels with students regarding amounts and terms requested. Proficient in NSLDS and loan monitoring and reporting.
g. Performs ISIR verification processing.
h. Awards and assists with implementation of athletic scholarships. includes budgetary restraints and communication with coaches and players. Assists with term reporting to MACJC. i. Receives and processes appeal letters from students who are on financial aid suspension according to EMCC and federal policies. For appeals that are granted, determines students who must be placed on an Academic Plan and monitors the progress. Maintains spreadsheet on repeat offenders and notifies student of results.
j. Evaluates prior transcripts to complete an Academic Plan for students who need direction on the coursework required for a specific degree.
k. Maintains information and reporting of Gainful Employment based on federal regulations and guidelines.
l. Enters student awards in Colleague.
m. Other duties as assigned by the Director positions.Education: Associate’s degree minimum

Work Experience include required number of years documented experience in a comparable/related position: 3-5 years in a comparable/related position
