East Neck Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a Nursing Staffing Coordinator to join our dynamic team of professionals in the Nursing Department!
Position Summary: The Nursing Staffing Coordinator manages the operational and fiscal activities of the department by managing staffing levels as per established par levels. The main function of this role includes responsibility for maintaining a current staffing and assignment schedule for nursing staff that ensures adequate coverage to meet the resident care needs of this facility.
Job Requirements:
- One year Staffing Coordinator experience in the health care setting with nursing home and short-term rehabilitation experience
- Ability to multi-task, think on your feet and prioritize in a demanding office environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills required
- Knowledge of Smartlinx software is a plus
- Minimum Associates Degree
- MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID 19
Responsibilities to include:
- Generating 28-day nursing department schedules
- Responsible for staff scheduling to include work assignments/rotations/schedules/replacements,
- Approval/Denial of PTO requests, vacation planning and forecasting staffing needs
- Reviews and approves employee timecards for payroll
- Provide timesheets to agencies for agency staff
- Coordinates with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels, communicating staff vacancies and orientation needs
- Completes human resource paperwork as necessary
- Completes and submits monthly Prometric recertifications for Certified Nurse Aide renewals
- Allocates and maintains an adequate staffing schedule/pattern to ensure nursing coverage in order to meet daily resident care needs.
- Checks daily staffing pattern as scheduled on allocation sheets.
- Maintains daily staffing levels per established par levels, utilizing Smartlinx software program
- Excellent customer service etiquette and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees and clients, both on the phone and in-person
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
