A current vacancy exists for a STEAM Teacher at East Norriton Middle School within the Norristown Area School District. This teacher will create and sustain an educational environment conducive to the fulfillment of the District's Mission: To educate individuals of the community to be responsible, thinking, creative, literate citizens who enrich society.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a 4 year College or University
- One of the following Valid and active PA Certification:
- Mid level Math 4-8
- Mid level Science 4-8
- Technology Education Pk- 12
- Computer Science
- Knowledge of budgets and ability to monitor budget processes.
- Strong organizational skills and strategic planning skills, pro-social collaboration, communication and planning skills, and technology skills.
- Ability to be flexible, self-directed, and motivated.
- FBI,Criminal Background and Child abuse clearances
Job Requirements & responsibilities:
- Develops and implements daily STEAM lessons that are aligned to the Pennsylvania Standards for Science, Environment, Ecology, Technology, and Engineering (STEEL)
- Plans and carry out classroom and school wide Literacy and Math activities around the area of STEAM
- Collaborates with the school STEAM Team on school/district initiatives
- Exercises prudent judgement
