General Job Description: Assist with all camp janitorial/maintenance/grounds duties
Specific Responsibilities:
❑ Responsible to Physical Facilities or Camp Board President
❑ Works under the direct supervision of the Camp Coordinator
❑ Assist with unloading delivery trucks (including food)
❑ Assist with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all floors including the kitchen.
❑ Empty trash cans, put in new liners, and haul the trash to the dumpster daily
❑ Pick up litter around the campground
❑ Keep the restrooms and shower houses clean and stocked with supplies
❑ Haul firewood to the campfire circles
❑ Perform routine repairs and upkeep of camp facilities
❑ Attend camp staff meetings
❑ Follow all camp policies and procedures as set forth in the Staff Handbook
❑ Be courteous and helpful to everyone.
Qualifications:
❑ Must be able to work well with others and follow directions
❑ Must have effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
❑ Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and climb a ladder
❑ Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license
❑ Must be a self-starter, responsible and on-time for work
❑ Must pass a Bureau of Criminal Investigation & Identification background check
Salary and Benefits:
❑ Starting at an hourly rate of $15.00 per hour
❑ Flexible schedule
❑ Meals provided when camps are in session
