Title: Project Execution Manager
The Project Execution Manager is an experienced project manager that will serve in a broad operational role to lead the execution of energy storage projects from the company’s pipeline. This person will lead the transition of projects from late-stage development through the construction phase and finally to asset management, ensuring handover requirements align with the needs of the business and the project. In addition, for both projects developed and acquired by East Point the Project Execution Manager will act as commercial lead and navigate projects through the corporate governance process at East Point and with the parent company, Equinor. The position will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead transition of projects from late-stage development to construction and then to asset management
- Collaborate with all relevant business lines during late-stage development and construction
- Identify, track, and report on commercial and technical risks before and after they arise to ensure the success of East Point’s projects.
- Coordinate closely with financial analysis and controlling teams to monitor and assess changes to the business case as they arise
- Ensure effective collaboration, communication, and tracking of tasks cross-departmentally while identifying and reconciling scope gaps as they arise with responsible business lines for responsible projects
- Lead multiple projects through the corporate governance process, including Final Investment Decision (FID)
- Track and report compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and contracts until the project is accepted by asset management, inclusive of FERC, NERC, ISO, and public utility commissions
- Ensure all project execution activities are tracked and either closed at commercial operation or handed to asset management in a controlled and budgeted manner
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops to address challenges, allocate resources, and ensure effective collaboration for responsible projects
- Project reporting to the executive team and East Point Board of Directors
- Build and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and best practice sharing including leading reviews of lessons learned and risk register updates for responsible projects
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned

- Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication; able to communicate to audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding

- Able to walk over undeveloped land unassisted, travel unassisted, and sit at a computer for long periods of time

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, operations management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 4-7 years’ professional experience, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in operational roles executing renewable energy projects and/or high voltage electrical projects or related energy projects. At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role preferred
- Strong preference for late-stage project development and project management experience
- Knowledge and understanding of utility and IPP economics preferred
- Knowledge of renewable and energy storage industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Experience in decision support and project management methodologies and tools preferred
Travel & Time Commitment:
- Limited travel possibly related to industry conferences, project sites, company events and other work-related activities
- This is a full-time, exempt salaried position. Standard office hours are from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST. The demands of projects may require work outside of these times.
