Position Title: Dining Manager
Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to create an enjoyable dining experience for the residents, staff, and visitors in the dining areas in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Food shall be prepared and served in compliance with East Ridge’s established policies and procedures to assure that quality food and service is provided at all times. This position reports to the Dining Services Director.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures a positive and enjoyable dining experience and carefully follows established procedures for food quality and consistency, plate presentation, and service.
- Provides quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests, and staff.
- Promotes clean, safe, and organized environment for self, residents, and staff; adheres to all safety and sanitation requirements.
- Manages staff and oversees culinary along with all operations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service at assigned venues.
- Leads recruiting for the dining service department.
- Responsible for scheduling and payroll for staff.
- Responsible for formulation of PDN’s, for Human Resource approval.
- In charge of training all dining service staff at your assigned location.
- Effectively works within the parameters of the assigned budget and purchasing.
- Responsible for month end financial reports and inputting of dining invoices.
- Oversees service in dining rooms/bistro and ensures proper opening time of main dining room and bistro.
- Assists in menu planning, printing, and distribution.
- Maintains confidentiality of resident/family and facility information.
- Communicates any relevant issues, problems, or complaints to the Dining Services Director.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required.
You Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food service management experience required
- ServSafe Certified
- CPR and First Aid certification or eligible
- CDM Certification is a plus
