Fleet Maintenance Assistant (Part Time)
Join our team at East River Electric Power Cooperative! We are seeking a part-time Fleet Maintenance Assistant to join our fleet operations team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all Cooperative vehicles and equipment are impeccably cleaned and maintained, both inside and out. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and the ability to work collaboratively. This is a part-time position working 15-20 hours per week for the upcoming summer (May to mid-August).
What You'll Accomplish
- Clean and detail vehicles, including washing, waxing and vacuuming.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are properly stocked with necessary supplies, such as fuel, oil, and windshield washer fluid.
- Inspect vehicles and equipment for cleanliness and functionality.
- Assist with minor vehicle/equipment repairs and services.
- Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs to the fleet maintenance technicians.
- Collaborate with experienced team members to learn techniques and best practices for fleet maintenance.
- Keep accurate records of work performed.
- Participate in safety meetings and comply with all safety procedures.

- A valid driver's license
- Previous experience in vehicle or equipment detailing (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks in a team environment
Position Details
- Hourly pay rate is $15.00 to $20.00, depending on experience
- Part-time position working 15 to 20 hours per week
- Desired start date is mid-May, but will depend on candidate availability
