What are the responsibilities and job description for the 24-25 PT Utility Aide - El Sistema Program position at EAST SOMERVILLE COMM. SCHOOL?
Job Goal: To monitor the entrance of the school used for the El Sistema after school program and for maintaining a professional and courteous relationship with the staff, children, and families in the program.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work as a member of the El Sistema Team
- Good people skills
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Effective student management skills
Responsibilities:
- Direct parents/guardians to specific rehearsal or performance spaces
- Oversee the El Sistema School entrance at the East Somerville Community School
- Screens visitors before allowing them into the building
- Direct parents/guardians to specific rehearsal or performance spaces
- Assist in directing and interacting with students while serving at their post
- To report any unusual conditions or malfunctions
- In the event of an emergency, the Utility Aid may be asked to take part in procedures set forth by the Emergency Response Team
- Monitor the flow of people to come in and afterschool pick up
