Flag Football Head Coach

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and lead practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and understanding of flag football rules.
• Teach proper techniques in passing, catching, running plays, defense, and game strategy.
• Supervise players during practices, games, and team activities.
• Ensure a safe playing environment and administer first aid when necessary.
• Promote respect, discipline, effort, and sportsmanship among players.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents/guardians, and staff.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper care and return after use.
• Enforce league rules and organizational policies.
• Attend coaches’ meetings, training, and relevant workshops as required.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching or playing experience in flag football or a related sport.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with youth of various ages and skill levels.
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required depending on organization).
• Must pass background check and meet all child safety requirements.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of youth development and positive coaching principles.
• Ability to motivate and mentor athletes.
• Familiarity with league rules and game regulations for flag football.
