- Two years’ successful experience as Warehouseman or Laborer
- High School Diploma
- Associates degree preferred
- Valid Illinois Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record Required
- Regular attendance to perform assigned duties
- Receive all items delivered to warehouse in eFinance with no errors.
- Check all items ordered and received.
- Open boxes and physically count all items.
- Manages all mailroom functions, postage, sorting, stamping mail and making copies.
- Ability to operate a forklift and handheld pallet jack.
- Schedule deliveries to our warehouse from vendors.
- Responsible for scheduling delivery of supplies to all District locations. This includes receiving the items from purchase orders, staging the orders, preparing the shipping materials, shipping the orders, and appropriate record keeping.
- Receiving- receive and verify daily UPS, Fed-Ex, freight (common carrier) etc. shipments; distribute to office personnel as appropriate including appropriate record keeping.
- Schedule and coordinate subs as demands require and budgets permit.
- Prepare and handle returns of merchandise as directed by Director of Purchasing and Transportation.
- Shipping- prepare labels and shipping materials for UPS or Fed-Ex shipments as requested by District personnel.
- Pick up and drop off district mail.
- Expected to lift 50lb packages.
- Excessive standing and binding throughout the day.
- Some assembly of furniture.
- Miscellaneous duties as necessary.
- Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
- Computer programs/ systems such as Word, Excel, CIMS and eFinance
- Appropriate use of warehouse equipment
- OSHA Regulations as it pertains to assigned duties
- Operating material handling equipment (manual and power)

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Director of Risk Management & Fixed Assets the warehouseman will ship, receive and deliver supplies, materials, and equipment, maintain inventory control and records; perform related work.
