Job Summary
The Department of Economics and Finance in the College of Business and Technology at East Tennessee State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics (a 9-month faculty position). Course responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Econometrics, Macro / Micro Principles of Economics, and Quantitative Methods.
The anticipated teaching load is eighteen hours per year and may include spring, summer, and fall semesters. The successful candidate is expected to engage in scholarly activity. The college is fully accredited by AACSB International.
The chosen candidate is expected to teach economics courses, depending on the department's needs and the research experience of the candidate. Other responsibilities include sustaining an appropriate level of research, maintaining office hours, participating in service obligations, and performing other related duties as assigned.
