Posting DetailsPosition InformationJob Title Pediatric Newborn Hospitalist & Medical Director - Asst / Assc / Prof Department Pediatrics - 31550 Pay Grade 1 Job Category College of Medicine Faculty Job SummaryEast Tennessee State University ( ETSU ) Department of Pediatrics and Medical Education Assistance Corporation ( MEAC ) seeks a qualified Pediatric Newborn Hospitalist to serve as the Medical Director of community nurseries affiliated with the Ballad Health Hospital system in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. The newborn hospitalist will direct a team of advanced practice providers and other hospitalists who are active in providing regional nursery coverage as well as direct quality improvement projects, research, and teaching of medical students and pediatric and family medicine residents. This position will be an ETSU non-tenure, clinical track faculty appointment (contingent on MEAC funding).Position is contingent upon external funding.Responsibilities include providing in-person and telemedicine services for nurseries at Johnson City Medical Center, Franklin Woods Community Hospital, Indian Path Medical Center, and Johnston Memorial Hospital.Our region is at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and offers excellent schools, affordable cost of living, and a wealth of outdoor activities.
