What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Service Technician position at EAST TEXAS BRIDGE?
A or Class B CDL as a minimum is required with Hazmat endorsem
2 Years of exprenice (Preferred)
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Performing routine inspections of equipment according to established maintenance schedules.
- Checking fluid levels, lubricating parts, replacing filters, and adjusting belts as needed.
- Completing preventative maintenance checklists and documenting findings.
- Identifying potential wear and tear issues before they become major problems.
- Troubleshooting and Minor Repairs:
- Diagnosing minor malfunctions and performing basic repairs on equipment.
- Replacing worn or damaged parts as needed.
- Identifying the root cause of equipment failures and taking corrective action.
- Recordkeeping and Reporting:
- Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, including dates, findings, and repairs performed.
- Reporting any critical issues or potential safety hazards to supervisors.
- Generating reports on equipment performance and maintenance trends.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations related to equipment maintenance.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems depending on the industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical abilities to diagnose equipment issues and identify solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective repairs.
- Communication Skills:
- Clear and concise communication with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments regarding maintenance needs and issues.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift moderate weights, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
