- Install commercial refrigeration systems, ensuring proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot systems during installation.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent malfunctions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and local/national regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Install wiring to connect components to power sources.
- Braze or solder defective joints and leaks.
- Be available for out-of-town travel/work on a weekly basis.
- Have or are willing to obtain basic tools for the job.
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (Type II or Universal preferred).
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration installation.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and parallel rack systems.
- Proficiency in using HVAC tools and knowledge of refrigeration cycles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- High school diploma or GED, HVAC certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Capable of climbing ladders and standing for long durations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
