Description
Responsible for maintaining the Real Estate Department insurance servicing for all closed mortgage loans. Responsible for payment of all closed loan insurance invoices and property tax billing. Responsible for maintaining insurance and tax information on the proper ETPCU processing system. Obtains proof of insurance as required on mortgage loans. Assists or refers members as necessary.
Assumes responsibility for effective clerical support on closed loans and mortgage loan servicing activities.
- Responsible for the daily disbursement and GL posting of escrowed mortgage and force placed insurance premiums.
- Responsible for insurance renewals for real estate portfolio.
- Responsible for the annual disbursement and GL posting of property tax payments for all escrowed mortgage loans.
- Reviews information for completeness and accuracy to ensure compliance.
- Handle all incoming calls concerning mortgage insurance.
- Reviews information for completeness and accuracy. Clarifies missing or questionable information. Follows up with outside sources of outstanding documents.
- Prepares miscellaneous correspondence and records.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional business relationships with members and mortgage professions.
- Resolves (or refers) requests and problems promptly and courteously. Answers member’s questions regarding their mortgage insurance.
- Keeps members properly informed of Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Maintains and conveys the Credit Union’s professional reputation.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and communication with Credit Union personnel and with management.
- Assists and supports Mortgage Loan personnel as needed.
- Completes reports and records promptly and accurately.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical functions as needed.
- Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Professionally cross-sells Credit Union services.
Qualifications
Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge: Understanding of mortgage loan processing functions
Knowledge of mortgage related requirements, procedures, and underwriting criteria.
General accounting skills and an understanding of debts and credits.
Experience Required: One to two years of related mortgage lending experience.
Skills/Abilities: Good verbal and public relations skills.
Strong typing abilities.
Good basic math skills.
Able to use related computer applications.
Well organized.
