Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Audiologist to join our small hearing aid/audiology practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating hearing disorders in patients of all ages. Hearing testing and hearing aid sales and care are the primary needs. The Audiologist will also engage in patient education regarding hearing health and assist with the selection of appropriate hearing aids and assistive devices.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and evaluations to diagnose hearing loss and balance disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, including recommendations for hearing aids and other assistive devices.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing health, treatment options, and device usage.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including otolaryngologists, pediatricians, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in compliance with medical standards.
- Utilize organizational skills to manage patient appointments, follow-ups, and documentation efficiently.
- Stay current with advancements in audiology practices and technologies through continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice audiology.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to audiology and otolaryngology.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in using office software applications such as Excel for data management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques is a plus.
- A background in sales or customer service is beneficial for assisting patients in selecting appropriate products.
