Your Role as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor:
The Substance Use Disorder Counselor plays a vital role in our patients' treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder. You will provide guidance through individual and group counseling sessions, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individualized Patient Care: Plan, oversee, facilitate, and document patient recovery, while providing high-quality guidance in both individual and group counseling sessions.
- Treatment Planning: Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient, taking into account their specific needs and requirements.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services to patients as needed, ensuring that they receive timely support during challenging situations.
- Case Management: Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients, ensuring seamless communication and facilitating effective case management duties.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in a social or health services field required, with accreditation from an accredited college or university.
- Prior Experience: Prior experience and knowledge in an addiction recovery and/or MAT environment are essential for this role.
- Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a Master's degree or one of the following certifications: CAC, CAS, CADAC, CRC, LADC, LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT.
