Overview
BSA Program manager who will be supporting key initiatives and projects related to East West Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering (BSA / AML) and Office of Foreign Assets (OFAC) program. This role reports directly into the Deputy BSA Officer. Such projects may include, but are not limited to, the development of new process enhancements, system technology implementations, internal controls adjustments, managing regulatory changes, etc.
This position requires a self-starter who takes charge of enterprise level projects and delivers results that positively impact the organization’s customers, employees and bottom line. The ideal candidate will have the ability to simultaneously handle multiple complex projects, be comfortable with discussing and handling issues, gather requirements, evaluate risks, directly work stakeholders to accomplish tasks, and document key artifacts. The project manager will require a collaborative working style with the willingness to listen to all viewpoints, with ability to offer opinions and yet respect the collective decision and interpret gray-areas and propose alternative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily execution of significant projects within a focus area of BSA / AML and OFAC.
- Resolves complex problems or issues, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, regulations, guidelines, or processes.
- Identifies, documents, and understands project dependencies and identifies key stakeholders who participate in project scope definition.
- Efficiently communicates information to the respective stakeholders to ensure alignment with goals and objective of the project.
- Provides operational / service leadership and direction to team(s).
- Partners with cross function peers / managers to create, administer, track, follow up and complete project tasks.
- Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning including budgets.
- Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the bank, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Prepare status updates, reports, and / or presentation decks for various meetings, ensuring concise and impactful communication of key insights and data.
- Actively lead post project analysis to reflect upon successes and lessons learned.
- Continuous monitoring and keeping abreast of new BSA / AML and OFAC regulations / trends and other changes in the industry environment; readily identify how such changes affects the Bank’s BSA program.
- Handle administrative responsibilities and miscellaneous tasks, as required.

The base pay range for this position is USD $100,000.00 / Yr. - USD $140,000.00 / Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
