Overview
East West Bank is seeking a FX Junior Trader. The primary responsibility of the Foreign Exchange (FX) Trader is making prices and executing trades in foreign exchange market, on behalf of or for the benefit of East West bank. The daily activities include managing client flows, writing market researches and analysis, structuring and recommending hedging strategy, calculating/verifying product valuation and pricing, and managing interbank relationships. The FX Trader manages bank’s FX positions of and delivers recommendations/solutions to FX Advisors.
Responsibilities
- Manage bank-wide foreign currency positions via tools such as e-trading platforms, Bloomberg, and telephone, based on market dynamic and clients’ requests.
- Provide market updates and write-ups to bank-wide employees and also clients.
- Advises sales on forecast of foreign exchange rates based on capital market scenario analysis.
- Reviews trade outstanding orders to ensure accuracy, proper record keeping, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Responds to sales’ inquires on FX and maintains EWB’s foreign exchange accounts.
- Manages FX cash flow and Nostro account balances.
- Carry out trades and maintain EWB's accounts.
- Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field, such as finance, economics, and business degrees.
- 1 years of FX related experience in banking preferred.
- Excellent research and presentation skills.
- Strong oral and written communication with effective interpersonal and relationship management skills to engage individuals at all levels in the organization.
- Programming/coding (C/VB/Python) ability a plus
- Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic environment as a champion of change.
