Job Summary: The Cafeteria Attendant is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the cafeteria, ensuring that food is prepared, served, and stored in compliance with health and safety standards. The role involves food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Assist in the preparation of salads, sandwiches, hot meals, and other menu items.
Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and in an appealing manner.
Serving Food:
Serve food to colleagies at the counter or cafeteria line.
Ensure portion sizes are correct and food safety guidelines are followed.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Keep workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment clean and sanitized.
Clean tables, chairs, and cafeteria surfaces regularly.
Follow sanitation standards and store food properly.
Stocking and Inventory:
Assist in the receiving and stocking of food and supplies.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for restocking to the manager.
Teamwork:
Work collaboratively with other cafeteria staff to ensure smooth operations.
Assist colleagues as needed with food preparation, cleaning, or other tasks.
