Job Summary

*Nanny/Household Management Role*

Pittsburgh, PA | Allison Park

• Start Date: ASAP
• Hours: ideally Monday & Wednesday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm; Tuesdays, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm; Guaranteed 44 hours/week; The family is open to offering fewer hours or an amended schedule for the right fit
• Hourly Rate: $25-30
• Children: 5 and 1.5 year old
• Paid Vacation: One week nanny’s choice, one week family’s choice, 3 sick/personal days, all major holidays

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT:Are you a nurturing, experienced nanny who takes your responsibilities seriously but isn’t afraid to also get silly? These recent Golden State transplants seek a long-term nanny with an open heart to help care for their home and two bright children. Dad works from home in a separate office space once or twice a week, while Mom dedicates her full-time attention to raising their five-year-old daughter and 18-month-old son. You’ll tag team with her for this dynamic hybrid role. Every shift could have unique elements to you supporting Mom with childcare and household management. You’ll punctually arrive by 7:30 am from Monday to Friday, leaving at 4 pm, except for Tuesdays when you’ll wrap up closer to 5:30 pm. The little fellow currently naps for three hours, storing up energy to play, dance, and do crafts—YES, often at the same time. When his big sister is off from school, she’ll join you, or you’ll head out on tour to museums or hang out with other neighborhood kids at the local playground. On the household management side, you’ll help with laundry, vacuuming, sweeping, emptying the dishwasher, tidying the kitchen and common areas, and assisting with meal prep. There are several allergies and sensitivities, including strawberries, tomatoes, dairy, and certain medications. The family also encourages healthy food choices, limiting food dyes, and artificial flavors. You’ll also help run errands and occasionally provide transportation for the kids using a family-provided vehicle. We’re dishing out massive bonus points if you have a background in early childhood education. The previous nanny loved her role so much that she temporarily moved with the family to help them transition and is happy to rave about them to you. The Ideal Nanny IS…PROMPT! The young lady is in school full-time, and Mom drives her (you’ll assist with that later), so punctuality, reliability, and a clean driving record are critical for this role.
