Job Summary

Pittsburgh, PA | Fox Chapel

• Start Date : April 1st
• Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 am to 4 : 30 pm; Guaranteed 40 hours / week; start and end times are slightly flexible
• Hourly Rate : $26-29
• Children : 18 month old and baby due in January
• Pets : Friendly Golden Retriever
• Paid Vacation : One week family’s choice, two weeks nanny’s choice, 5 sick / personal days, all major holidays including the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and NYE

Responsibilities and Duties

WHO / WHAT :  Are you a fun, patient, and safety-conscious nanny with tons of experience and excellent communication skills? Do you love toddlers, babies, dogs, and cheese (okay, not necessarily in this order, but we get it if “cheese” wins)? This warm and generous family is growing, and one exceptional nanny is about to land a dream job! You’ll work Monday to Friday from 8 : 30 am to 4 : 30 pm (with some flexibility in start / end times!) in a role that’s intended to last for at least three years. Grandma is a huge support to these busy professional parents who both work from home and travel occasionally. There’s an 18-month-old twinkle-toed daughter who’s about to become a big sister, and you’ll be a significant part of her and her baby sister’s formative years. Curious and energetic, the toddler enjoys being on the move and teasing her brain. You’ll complete puzzles, build structures with blocks, and have a dance party to Fleetwood Mac and Elton John. She will be starting a part-time PreK program in the fall, so your help with transportation would be appreciated. The family is also open to outings to the zoo, library, and nearby parks. And the newest addition is arriving any moment! She’ll join you when she’s awake, and you’ll hold, comfort, feed, burp, change, and guide her naps. There’s a friendly golden retriever who’ll also cash in on the snuggles but won’t require anything else. Unless you have cheese, because he—like everyone else in this family—loooooves cheese, so he’ll ask you to share. If both little ones are sleeping, your help with the children’s laundry, washing bottles, and restocking the nursery supplies will be greatly appreciated. This loving family wants a trustworthy nanny who’ll play an active part in shaping their daughters into the confident young ladies they’ll become.
