Job Summary
*Household Manager/After-School Nanny Position*
Pittsburgh, PA | Upper St. Clair
Start Date: January 2025
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3pm to 6pm, flexible to include some weekend hours; Guaranteed 15 hours/week
Hourly Rate: $28-30
Children: 5 & 3 year old
Pets: One cat & one dog
Paid Vacation: One week nanny’s choice, one week family’s choice, 1-2 paid holidays; PTO prorated to guaranteed hours
Responsibilities and Duties
- WHO/WHAT: Are you a creative, compassionate caregiver who appreciates cleanliness and can multitask household duties while keeping a Kindergartener on task? Keep reading because we’ve got a hybrid role that’s flexible and it starts immediately! This busy mom works partially from home— traveling frequently—and has supportive extended family members nearby to help. At a minimum, you’ll work Monday to Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm, but these shifts can be extended should you want more household management hours. Primarily, you’ll focus on after-school care for a studious, independent five-year-old girlie girl after picking her up from the nearby bus stop at 3:25 pm. Bubbly big sis is a social butterfly with a sharp sense of humor. You’ll dress up and host fashion shows for an extra judgy VIP audience consisting of one cat and one dog. Her strong-yet-gentle athletic baby bro is a big-hearted cuddle bug who will be in extended daycare until 6 pm, so it will be infrequent that you have both children. Both kiddos are tiny artists who are polite, tidy, and do their homework without a fuss (winning!). The household management portion of this hybrid role includes help with laundry, dishes, vacuuming, sweeping, light dinner prep, and pet care. There’s a cat who’ll need her litter box cleaned and a small pooch who’d love a daily walk. You won’t need to transport the kids around but will need your own vehicle to run the odd errand. There are extra hours available—including on weekends if you want them—in a role scheduled to last for at least 6 months and potentially more for the right person.
