Job Summary
*Household Manager Position*
Pittsburgh, PA | Canonsburg
- Start Date: mid-May, but willing to wait for the right fit
- Hours: 3-5 days/week, M-F, ideally a few hours each day, preference for after-school hours; Guaranteed 12-15 hours/week
- Hourly Rate: $25-35
- Pets: 1 small Cava-Poodle
- Paid Vacation: One week paid vacation nanny’s choice, one week paid vacation family’s choice; PTO is prorated based on guaranteed hours
Responsibilities and Duties
- WHO/WHAT: Flexible times flexible days flexible requirements… Did someone say: “DREAM JOB?!” This loving family urgently seeks a hardworking individual who’ll primarily be a household manager but with a childcare twist. On a busyness scale of 1-10, this home is a solid TEN. But don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of backup as you’re joining a team! Dad works full-time and Mom dedicates herself to the care of their full house which includes four kiddos (newborn through to nine years old), one cava-poodle, and a baby bearded dragon. There’s a house cleaner who comes in every other week to do the ultra-deep cleaning, but otherwise, you’re it! You’ll help Mom with the upkeep of the home, including dishes, laundry, shopping, meal prep, washing bottles, restocking the nursery, vacuuming, mopping the floors, general tidying up, and organizing. Mom would love someone detail-oriented who can help implement specific systems for keeping their home more streamlined! For pet care, the lizard is pretty independent (unless the family’s away on vacation). But the doggie will need water dish top-ups and to be let in and out of the yard for potty breaks when—and how cute is this?—she rings the bell. You don’t need to know how to swim, must have your own transportation, and there are some allergies and food restrictions to be discussed at the interview. Ready for the childcare twist? Mom sometimes has to run out for appointments, and that’s when you’ll care for the kids. These active kiddos adore building with Legos, doing arts and crafts, or playing outside. Also, it would be greatly appreciated if you could cover the occasional date night for some additional hours. Mom speaks Spanish and would prefer someone who’s comfortable enough with the language to communicate with her and the children.
