Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. This position requires a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all orders are accurate and meet quality standards before serving.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding order status and special requests.
- Handle food safely and adhere to all food handling guidelines.
- Provide excellent guest services by responding to inquiries and assisting with any needs guests may have.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with guests and team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not mandatory.
