What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator position at EastCoast Caregivers?
As a member of the EastCoast Caregivers office team, you will play a key role in advancing our mission to deliver compassionate care and enhance the quality of life for our clients, their families, and our employees.
Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, select, schedule, and coordinate caregivers based on client assessments and care plans for both new and existing clients.
- Ensure that tasks assigned by the care team are scheduled for all shifts and that they are properly recorded by the caregivers.
- Oversee caregiver scheduling and respond to any scheduling changes, conflicts, emergencies, or “call-outs” as they arise.
- Record all instances of assignment refusals, call-outs, late arrivals, early departures, no-call no-shows, and client schedule updates and changes in WellSky, and regularly update the Operations Manager as needed.
- Demonstrate professional customer service towards both caregivers and clients.
- Possibility to cover after-hours office on-call (either as fill-ins or ongoing) when available.
General qualifications:
- Understanding of general healthcare staffing requirements.
- Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptable in various situations, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work independently is essential.
- Must be comfortable managing multi-line phone systems, juggling multiple calls, and maintaining professionalism and patience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills are necessary to address scheduling conflicts with creative solutions.
This role has potential to progress into full-time equivalent depending on job performance.
