What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Interventionist (Occupational Therapist - Licensed) position at Eastconn?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Interventionist (Occupational Therapist) to join our Birth to Three program working within the northeast/Windham & Tolland county areas.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge through coursework and preferably through work experience with very young children. Ideal candidate will demonstrate willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training on use of evidenced-based practices for Activity-Based Teaming. This position requires a strong commitment to promoting research supported practices: Natural Learning Environment practices, Coaching as a style of interaction and Primary Service Provider approach to teaming.

Completion of Early Intervention Service Coordination Training is favorable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments.
- Participate in Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) development and implementation.
- Monitor outcomes as a member of the team.
- Provide Early Intervention supports to families for the benefit of the child.
- Develop activities and strategies in conjunction with the family or caregver.
- Complete visits at the child's home, child care programs or other settings comfortable for the caregiver and child.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut state license to practice occupational therapy.
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or pediatric setting.
- Profound knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy techniques..
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and communicate with parents and caregivers.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest research and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Must have valid driver's license, own car for transportation and valid auto insurance.
