Description
Applies advanced knowledge of risk management programs, practices, and concepts to help leadership identify and mitigate potential risk across multiple verticals and risk disciplines, including third party and vendor risk, operational risk, internal audit, data privacy and business continuity planning.
Essential Functions
- Works with leadership to continue building best-in-class risk programs and manages the ongoing control environment
- Monitors the effectiveness of controls and advises business owners of current or potential exposure points and automation
- Analyzes scorecards/performance management tools to identify trends, control performance gaps, or losses; partners with business leaders to mitigate exposure
- Ensures business owners are effectively prepared at all times to demonstrate full command of operating risks to all internal and external stakeholders, by supporting leadership in developing and implementing risk appetite to support business processes
- Assists in the design, collection, tracking, and reporting of key operational and vendor risk metrics for senior leadership
- Helps manage more junior team members, working closely to mentor and provide day-to-day guidance
- Assesses risks and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices
- Successfully resolves complex issues, applying strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Partners with information security and legal teams to support data privacy initiatives relative to outside vendors
- Ensures the actions a business takes to address significant issues promptly and effectively address the risk identified
- Develops and maintains relationships across the business users to better understand and deliver customer requirements by responding to changes in the internal and external business environment
- Oversees the preparation of key operational risk event reports and presentations for governance committees, senior leaders, and regulatory reporting
- Supports audits and regulatory examinations, as needed
- Assists in updating operational and vendor risk management policy and procedures, and other related materials
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Risk Management: 15 years
- Direct senior-level experience with risk methodologies related to audit, vendor risk and/or data privacy/information security
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Proven ability to communicate with senior and junior resources, establishing effective working relationships.
- Team player, proactive and able to deliver within agreed deadlines.
- Displays excellent organizational and time management skills to multi-task and prioritize workload under pressure to meet and exceed deadlines.

- Displays strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with and deliver to senior management.
- Successfully builds internal and external business relationships; begins to develop relationships with key stakeholders to understand needs.
- Displays advanced understanding of enterprise applications and collaboration tools (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, SharePoint).
- Results driven with a strong desire to continuously identify opportunities and improve processes.
- Demonstrates an intermediate understanding of Risk Management platforms.

Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
