Eastdil Secured is seeking a Vice President to join our Debt team in our Santa Monica office. Primary responsibilities involve transaction execution from start to finish, and oversight of financial underwriting. In addition, this individual will provide hands-on training and oversight to Associates, Analysts and other team members.
Essential Functions
- Function as an integral part of a deal team and must have the ability to effectively interface with senior management and clients.
- Mentor and instruct Associates, Analysts, and other team members in the tools and methods required to effectively procure, underwrite, and transact or otherwise execute their responsibilities.
- Research and participate in strategic planning to find optimal capital markets solutions.
- Assist in determining appropriate leverage, pricing, and structure on a property and portfolio level basis that is aligned with clients’ business plans.
- Prepare presentation materials for prospective clients.
- Facilitate client meetings and entertainment events.
- Recognize and build relationships with clients and lenders that ultimately lead to new business.
- Track opportunities across all business lines and take responsibility for team integration.
Education and Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial real estate experience, brokerage experience, or a combination of both.
- Bachelor's degree with a preference for business, real estate, finance, and accounting concentrations.
- Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills.
- Ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects in a fast-paced and results driven environment.
- Strong modeling skills including robust Excel capabilities.
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, personal motivation, and distinguished written and oral communication skills.
- Eastdil Secured requires each non-administrative exempt staff member to be licensed as appropriate real estate salesperson in California.
- Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry with a focus on real estate finance.
- Extensive experience in commercial real estate with a focus on capital markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
- Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused, collaborative, and team environment.
