What You’ll Do
As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will serve as a member of the ECI team and will be responsible for providing discipline-specific services within the scope of professional certification/license and ECI program standards, and consistent with agency standards for volume, productivity, record documentation, quality and client outcomes. You will participate in the quality improvement program and maintain competency through continuing education. You will be guided by the Organizational Systems Manual (policies and procedures), multi-year Strategic Plan, Operational Work Plan, Organizational Calendar and teamwork expectations in the conduct of all professional activities.
You will:
- Serve as a member of a family-centered team to: Provide routines-based Specialized Skills Training and/or family training to infants and toddlers ages 0-3, and their parents.
- Hands-on or direct training of skills, documentation, billing, competencies and theory as assigned.
- Provide case management services to families, including identification of social service needs for appropriate referral to the community.
- Maintain communication throughout work hours with the main office.
- Initiate and maintain contact with children's physicians for obtaining and updating necessary medical information.
- Assist and facilitate the work of team members, other departments, and agency managers in attaining the goals and objectives of the organization.
- Attend staff meetings, agency and ECI team in services and training.
- Complete continuing education needed to maintain certification/licensure and renew certification/licensure as necessary.
- Update Human Resources on all needed documentation on a regular basis as required by agency standards.
You’re a great fit for this role if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development, Special Education, Psychology or related degree in the Humanities field, as a requirement. Certified (or pending certification) by the Early Childhood Intervention state agency, preferred but not a must as on-the-job training is provided. Master’s Degree in related field is preferred.
- Two years’ experience working with infants and toddlers, preferably children with special needs.
- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
