General
We are looking for a highly skilled aircraft mechanic who will perform both line maintenance and heavy maintenance on various types of commercial aircraft. This role involves troubleshooting (electrical systems), preform basic avionics, inspections, repairs to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience with line maintenance operations, including pre-flight and post-flight servicing, quick-turn maintenance, as well as scheduled heavy maintenance checks, performed during extended aircraft downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled Maintenace, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems, including airframe, engines, hydraulics, avionics and electrical components.
- Conduct daily checks, transit checks, and overnight Maintenace to ensure aircraft are flight ready.
- Respond to Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events, diagnosing and repairing aircraft quickly to minimize operational delays.
- Coordinate with pilots, dispatchers, and ground operations personnel to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
- Service aircraft with fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, oxygen, and nitrogen as needed.
- Performa any in-depth aircraft structural, system, and component checks as part of scheduled heavy maintenance.
- Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble components per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct corrosion control inspections, structural repairs, and modifications as required.
- Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, repairs and component replacements in maintenance tracking systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to address major findings and ensure compliance with FAA and company standards.
- Utilize aircraft maintenance manuals, technical publications, and electronic maintenance tracking systems.
- Operate ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, hydraulic mules, power carts, and test equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and clean work enviroment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and accounted for.
- Follow all airport and ramp safety procedures while working r around aircraft.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or the equivalent.
- A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working on commercial aircraft in a Part 121 environment, at least 3 years working on either the Boeing 777, 767 or 737.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance tracking systems (e.g., TRAX, AMOS, or similar)
- Experience working under time constraints, especially in high-pressure AOG situations
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including night, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 70-100 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Successfully pass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC).
