Northwell Health in conjunction with South Shore University Hospital is seeking a fulltime academic Trauma Medical Director / Acute Care Surgeon BE / BC in Surgical Critical Care / Trauma Surgery to join the faculty at our South Shore Hospital campus (in Bayshore, NY). This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Clinical Educator in a high acuity environment with a very supportive and experienced team.

The qualified candidate will join a team of five other attendings in South Shore University Hospital Division of Acute Care Surgery. Surgeons will rotate through the Surgical ICU and Acute Care Surgery services. South Shore Hospital recently received American College of Surgeon Level 1 status and admits approximately 800 trauma and surgical patients annually. The Division also manages a 10-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit and is actively involved in research at the basic science, translational, and clinical level.
