Eastern Carolina Insurance Services, Inc. is an independent insurance agency with offices in Goldsboro, Wilson, Snow Hill, Kinston, and Pink Hill. Through our member agents we have been serving the people of Eastern North Carolina for over 50 years. We are growing and looking for talented people to grow with us.
The Customer Service Representative / Account Manager position will involve answering multiple phone lines, providing customer service to agency customers, receiving and processing insurance payments for existing customers, drafting letters & reports, and other additional clerical duties and insurance customer service duties as directed by the agent or associates. The position does require the applicant to have an active insurance license. 2 years or more of insurance experience is a plus. Please upload your resume.
Responsibilities
- Process customer change requests
- Immediately greet all customers, entering the office, in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Take premium payments from customers.
- Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity.
- Return all phone messages promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of new products.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Be outstanding at relationship building.
- Maintains inventory of office supplies and forms - places orders weekly.
- Cross sell existing clients and follow procedures to retain clients.
Requirements
- Active P&C insurance license, life license is a plus. Temporary employment without an insurance license but must get insurance license to become permanent.
- Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful
- Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Be a great self-starter with a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.
- Professional phone etiquette.
- Proficient with MS Windows and Office, knowledge of agency management system a plus
- Works well with other employees and is a team player with a positive attitude.
