Computer-Mediated Communication Assistant Professor

The School of Communication, Journalism, and Media seeks an assistant professor with expertise in mediated and / or technological communication. The teaching load is 3 : 3. We welcome applications from candidates engaged in high-quality, theory-driven scholarship that explores the complex interactions of mediated communication, (new) technologies, artificial intelligence, new media studies, digital activism, informational literacy, or other related fields.

Required Qualifications :

• Ph.D. in Communication (must be completed no later than August, 2025).
• Previous college teaching experience in communication courses.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to computer-mediated communication.
• Active research agenda related to computer-mediated communication.
• Ability to engage in service to the Area, School, University, and Discipline.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
