Site Installation Manager is a customer facing position to support the design, implementation, and testing of Land Mobile Radio wireless communications systems for Public Safety, Transportation and Utility Customers. The Site Installation Manager will own the construction activities of a project to include design phase, electrical activities, tower interaction activities and post construction activities. This role will work closely with the Eastern Communications Ltd. Project Manager as well as the customer through all phases of the project lifecycle.

Role Overview
The Eastern Communications Ltd. Site Installation Manager is a customer facing position to support the design, implementation, and testing of Land Mobile Radio wireless communications systems for Public Safety, Transportation and Utility Customers. The Site Installation Manager will own the construction activities of a project to include design phase, electrical activities, tower interaction activities and post construction activities. This role will work closely with the Eastern Communications Ltd. Project Manager as well as the customer through all phases of the project lifecycle.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage civils sub-contractors and verify their adherence to, project designs and constructions drawings, site installation best practices, Harris Site Grounding and Lightning Protection Guidelines, applicable local and national electrical wiring codes, and hold the subcontractors accountable to their agreement (SOW) and the company’s standards.
- Work in collaboration with Project Manager to set, communicate, and enforces production goals and schedules with crews. Assists with the development of civils project schedule, material orders and schedule deliveries. Facilitate/run job progress meetings and coordinate change order requests. Report immediate issues to Project PM for resolution that require management intervention. Maintain project action items list to read and decipher plans and specifications
- Supervise construction activities and participate in construction design phase
- Coordinate Engineering resources to be onsite at pivotal points of projects
- Knows the key operational details of the subcontract and implements effective cost controls over labor, material, equipment, and other related expenditures
- Leads and enforces the safety policies, procedures and addresses non-compliance among all employees, subcontractors and vendors and creates and coordinates requests for information
- Leads required pre-installation conferences on the jobsite
- In charge of coordinating all building inspections with local/state official
- Make on site decisions based on RACOM site practices (with assistance from engineering as needed)
- Photograph and document all phases of construction, especially grounding, trenching and foundation work that cannot be seen after construction
- Ensure Civil contractors and sub-contractors adhere to construction drawings, and RACOM best practices at each site location
- Verify shelter electrical wiring is performed correctly and up to code
- Verify and test electrical system including generator function, power transfer and lightning protection
- Supervise final grading activities are performed to construction drawing specifications
- Verify all cleanup activities are performed to return site area to pre-construction levels
- Attend final site inspection to answer questions
- Develop and resolve final punch list (with assistance from engineering)
- Develop and/or update as-built drawings that pertain to civils and site construction
- Coordinate installation of concrete pours with tower and civils subcontractors
- Schedule any other activities that need to be coordinated between tower and civils subcontractors
- Verify tower ground is installed correctly to grounding
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar technical degree
- Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP
- Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
