POSITION SUMMARY:
The Physician Office Medical Assistant reports to the Manager, Corp Care and is responsible for direct patient care and medical screening to include history taking and various procedures (phlebotomy, audiograms, breath alcohol, pulmonary function etc.). Also responsible for assisting the physician in a variety of clinical and clerical duties as needed
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least one (1) year medical office experience is preferred.
- One (1) to three (3) months of on the job training will be provided.
COMPETENCIES:
- Must have excellent customer service interpersonal skills and be knowledgeable of windows based software programs such as WORD and OUTLOOK is preferred.
- Must have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites; and travel is required in order to perform essential duties.
