Position Summary: Originates, oversees and manages a commercial loan portfolio which includes real estate and non-real estate loans in accordance with the Bank’s credit and loan policies and procedures. Actively market’s the bank’s commercial products and services and acts as a business development officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes financial statements of applicants and determine their repayment ability.
- Evaluates loan applications, prepare loan presentations, and make loan recommendations to senior management.
- Negotiates credit terms with customers.
- Calls upon prospective and existing commercial customers to develop new business and enhance customer relationships
- Collects past due commercial loans and oversee the correction of documentation and portfolio deficiencies.
- Provides regular reports to management.
- Provides management feedback concerning loan pricing
- Assists in the development of department and branch staff in commercial lending. Partners with branch staff to call upon prospective customers.
- Completes required annual Bank Secrecy Act training which includes emphasis on identifying suspicious activity, performing customer due diligence, adhering to the Customer Identification Program (CIP) and performing an Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) check.
- Bank Secrecy Act responsibilities include reporting suspicious activity to the Bank Secrecy Act Officer, adhering to the Customer Identification Program (CIP) policy, and performing Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) checks.
- Actively participates in civic and community activities to promote a positive image of Eastern and our products and services.

Education & Experience:
