Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop, communicate, and execute the company’s vision, mission, and long-term growth strategy.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to drive growth and diversify revenue streams.
- Lead the development and implementation of operational strategies to improve productivity, quality, and financial performance.
- Financial Management
- Oversee the financial health of the business unit, including business planning, forecasting, and financial reporting to the Board.
- Ensure consistent profitability and strong cash flow management, aligning resources with strategic priorities.
- Drive cost efficiency initiatives and resource optimization across the organization.
- Operational Oversight
- Guide operations to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Implement best practices in project management, safety, and quality assurance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee risk management strategies, addressing issues such as project delays, financial risk, and market challenges.
- Client Relations & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders to support business retention and growth.
- Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and within relevant associations.
- Collaborate with the business development team on bid proposals and contract negotiations for major projects.
- Organizational Development
- Attract, develop, and retain a high-performing executive team, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
- Lead efforts to maintain a positive and inclusive workplace, fostering employee engagement and aligning staff with company objectives.
- Ensure succession planning for critical roles within the organization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles, ideally within a top tier industrial contracting firm.
- Must have experience managing projects of up to $100 million.
- Strong background in business development.
- Extensive experience in marketing and sales.
- Experience at an ENR top 400 general contractor.
