We are seeking per diem and full-time Oncology Nurses for Eastern CT Hematology and Oncology located in Norwich, CT.
Responsibilities include:
- Clearly and accurately documents pertinent information in the patient's medical record. Consistently demonstrates effective documentation practices and develops strategies to ensure complete documentation of patient care
- Completes timely and ongoing patient assessments and responses to treatments serving as a key participant on the treatment team
- Works closely with APRNs and Doctors to ensure appropriate and prescribed treatment plans are followed
- Oversee triage responsibilities when scheduled
- Deliver teaches to patients on a variety of different subject matters and medication procedures
- Administer chemotherapy administration as well as immunotherapy, intravenous gamma globulin, iron infusions and growth factor support
Ideal candidates have:
- Current RN license through the state of CT
- Previous experience accessing ports and placing IV lines
- Previous experience in Oncology and working with an oncology EMR preferred
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required
- Ability to stand for the duration of shift and move quickly throughout the infusion center
