BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity as a Business Specialist at our Headquarters in Richmond, VA.
- Under general supervision, this role provides the highest level of clerical and administrative/secretarial support to a management level(s) and department or staff.
- Performs general office duties, making appointments and scheduling meetings, processing mail and faxes, initiating and composing correspondence, collecting compiling and analyzing information and data, performing higher-level calculations and analyses, investigating questionable areas and making administrative decisions, maintaining and updating office supplies, assisting in maintenance of department files, performing data entry, and maintaining and updating department informational databases.
- Processes expense reports/invoices, provide budget tracking support, handle confidential records and information, and make travel arrangements. Assists with planning and administrative support for periodic safety and first aid trainings and other onsite trainings for employees.
- Coordinates customer meetings for the commercial team.
- Supports preparation of presentation materials, as required to support the business.
- Exercises considerable discretion in performance of duties and responsibilities.
- May provide guidance and assistance to less experienced office support staff. Provides typing and word processing support.
- Regularly uses computer software such as word processing spreadsheets, graphics, and presentation software.
- Ability to collect, compile, and analyze information and data.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High level of initiative, and ability to exercise judgment and discretion.
- Strong skills operating computerized and standard office equipment.
- Excellent skills using word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and presentation software.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Strong planning and organization skills.
- Extensive clerical/administrative experience.
- Proficient in use of SAP.
