What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent position at Eastern Glass and Aluminum?
Essential primary functions/ major responsibilities of Superintendent include but are not limited to:
- Manage assigned one to four level employees for admin and ops related matters.
- Oversee all responsibilities of Asst. Superintendent.
- Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force.
- Review and approve trade contractor payment applications with Project Manager.
- Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/Engineer.
- Develop and maintain site logistic plan in coordination with Project Manager.
- Manage quality program.
- Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
- Monitor costs, including labor time and material.
- Manage self-perform features of work.
- Ensure an injury-free environment through own actions and mentoring others.
- Manage schedules and ensure all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.
- Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings.
- Assist Precon/Estimating phase of the project.
- Verify accuracy of final record drawings.
- Mobilize the site and set up site utilities.
- Ensure that necessary permits have been secured and inspections scheduled.
- Review and verify all RFI’s.
- Review and approve submittals for processing.
- Review cost reports to ensure that they reflect accurate quantities and work put in place.
- Complete Daily Reports, including detailed manpower quantity, areas worked on, and progress pictures.
- Supervise all material deliveries, monitoring inventory of items, and notifying PM of low-stock items at least one week in advance.
- Supervise all material deliveries, unloading, and staging.
- Update equipment’s usage report and notifying PM of equipment rental release.
- Oversee daily morning huddle ups with onsite crew for task assignments.
- Ensure installation 0per manufacturer’s instructions.
- Perform all other duties assigned per project by Sr. Project Manager/ Project Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
