What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Substitute Teacher position at Eastern Greene Schools?
Eastern Greene Schools is seeking dedicated and passionate substitute teachers for two long-term elementary teaching positions at Eastern Greene Elementary School. These positions will provide coverage for maternity leaves in Kindergarten and 2nd Grade during the spring of 2025.
Positions Available:
Kindergarten Long-Term Substitute: April 2 – May 16, 2025 (4-6 weeks, dependent on need)- 2nd Grade Long-Term Substitute: April 21 – May 16, 2025
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with the classroom teacher’s lesson plans.
- Foster a positive and structured classroom environment that supports student learning.
- Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning space.
- Monitor student progress and provide academic support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Collaborate with school staff and follow school policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana teaching license preferred but not required.
- Experience working with elementary students is beneficial.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Enthusiasm for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
